THE BREIFCASE PC

PARTS LIST

  • Modded Thinkpad, Can either Be a T or X series (up to preference) can use really any laptop with a expresscard. For our purposes I will be using my Custom Modded Frankenpad T425. photo of a laptop youre not missing anything Average Cost: 100-200$
  • A Random Breifcase That Was Given to me, breifcase ahh image you arent missing a single thing can probably be found at goodwill for 5-20$ I have keys for mine to lock it which I found online for like 6$
  • EXP GDC BEAST External GPU KitWhen I bought it it was around 20$ back in like 2018, gpu riser boardlooks like theyre about 50$ ish now
  • Dell Optiplex 220w 8pin Powersupply went with this for price and size constraints of the build, really any pc powersupply will work but you only need 1 8pin for the whole build.dell psu Average Cost: Around 20$ I payed about 15$ back in 2018.
  • 8 Pin GPU CableNeeded to power the GPU, I found mine in an old PC 8 Pin cable not missing much from the photo You and find them anywhere online for like 3-5$
  • The Last Item needed is Literally any GPU, AMD IS PREFERRED, for some reason or another pretty much all AMD cards just work with this. ive been able to get certian Nvidia cards to work but usually 900/1000 series GTX cards. Ive been able to get a 1660ti to work for a bit and a RTX3060 to only work on linux but AMD Cards will just Plug and Play! I usually use this Card: Bob :) It's an AMD RX560. I drew a smiley face on him and named him Bob :D For this part price will vary to how much you want to put in ( As for Bob, He was free from a friend for the build)

PARTS THAT ARENT NEEDED BUT WERE USED FOR THIS BUILD

  • Some sort of power strip: power strip in breifcase This one was free, I found it on the side of the road lol. price may vary, probaly 3-6$ @goodwill
  • Some sort of extension cable, i use a 30ft cable that I found in the garage:Big ahh cord If your Power Strip has a long enough cord, you wont need this. (bonus points if its bright and industrialy colored so it makes the PC look more Bomb Like)
  • for some reason i added folding table legs on the breifcase pc, They help to hold the cable when theyre folded up, and somewhat help with ventilation and vewing angles. I dont remember where I got them but I took something off of something that broke and was gonna be thrown away for them. youll see them later below.
